Notes: Used Amotek Diaper Stacking and Bagging Machine, an integrated system model IS 81 for the counting, stacking, compression, and bagging of soft, disposable, bi-folded diapers into pre-made polyethylene bags (film gauge=0.030 - 0.060mm). System includes a Sierem horizontal stacker model ST6B (oval shape), an automatic bagging machine model PB181, and corresponding control cabinets. System is in right hand direction and features Allen-Bradley drives, controls, and HMI. WORKING DESCRIPTION: The single products arriving flat laying from the main production machine, are twisted by 90 degrees by a flat belt system so as to be positioned in an edge position. The products are then led inside the paddle chain without any stop where they are counted. As soon as the complete products arrive at the discharge area, the pusher transfers it to the feeding area of the bagging machine. The bagging machine receives the products in the loading area from the horizontal stacker and moves them towards the feeding station by means of bars. Products are timed with the pusher which, after the compression, transfers them to the bagging area. The polyethylene bag is opened by suction cups while the spreader plates, moving into the bags, keep it open. The pusher introduces first the compressed products inside the bag and then transfers the obtained package to the sealing station. While the bag is kept locked, its bottom is gussetted and sealed. The waste is removed from the package; the final bag is automatically ejected from the machine. The original OEM detailed specification is available along with an overhead layout drawing.
